One Year on the Road

Laura steadies the ladder for me as I trim a couple limbs.

It was a bit awkward, but the ladder was very steady.

Laura looks a little dubious, but she was such a good sport.

When Kate backed Bessie in, she just barely fit under the other limbs.

Laura and Karyn have a huge backyard.

Karyn is an avid gardener.

But she&#039;s had to cut back on so much because of the drought.

Karyn has a yurt where she practices yoga.

She gives private yoga lessons, as well as teaching at her studio.

Our friend, Angelica, came over for a visit. She and Karyn have known each other for over 30 years.

Our friend, Barbara, met us downtown for coffee. She was a favorite &quot;auntie&quot; when Tobi was small.

We visited our friend, Ray, who lives in the country in Bonnie Doon.

Ray&#039;s horse, Aria, is almost 36 years old.

Bailey really wanted to steal the Aria&#039;s carrots, but she was a little scared of such a big beast.

Shea and Bailey had met years ago when Ray visited Eugene, butr I don&#039;t think they remembered.

She&#039;d built on this studio for her painting since I&#039;d last seen it.

One night we invited Laura and Karyn to dinner at our place.

Bailey was welcomed so nicely into their home.

Laura and Karyn took us on a hike at POGONIP.

We didn&#039;t see any coyotes.
