Day trip to a fun historical mining town on a mountainside.

The owner, Don, spoke to us just a few minutes.

So collect he did.

One barn held more precious vehicles.

A very old Dodge and a Studebaker.

I'd never seen this Star of David symbol for Dodge.

Hot rod racer.

Aluminum tricycle from before WWII.

Our family had an old pedal tractor like this.

This has to be one of the first gas-powered tractors.

And a donkey...

This old semi is Don's pride and joy and what he uses to haul trailers of junk to his property.

At the time, this old "Bordello" was the only standing structure.

The stickshift is a revolver.

But his employee, Tim, was more than happy to show us around and give us some history.

...named Pedro.

And what's this? A steam roller?

We weren't sure what to make of this tourist trap.

I test the feel of an all-metal ax.

The first RV?

What an interesting town, and the old cars are such rich photography subjects. I had heard of Jerome – my parents visited it years ago, but your photos give a very rich accounting of the place
