We visited our friends, Claire and Marsha, on Whidbey Island.

Kate enjoys a bit of sun on the ferry ride.

Bailey knows that the ferry means seeing our friends.

Langley is full of wild bunnies, descendants of escapees from the County Fairgrounds.

Claire proves that she can pull off wearing a skirt outfit. (She'd bought it for a gala event.)

Bowls decorated with duck eggshells. C&M brought these back from Vietnam recently.

At Claire and Marsha's house... a double rainbow!

Quiet time in the morning. (Zoe and Bailey are the best of pals.)

Mystery Weekend is a yearly event, and the whole town gets involved.

The sun came out, and we walked around a bit.

Kate and I went to it one year and loved it. What a bunch of creative people on this island.

I love this cute little island town.

The town loves its very own movie theater.

The Dog House used to be a fun restaurant/bar.

We stopped for coffee at the Commons.

Kate and I went into town for a few provisions.

Back at Claire and Marsha's, we cleaned the CRV. I vacuumed years of pretzles and dog hair out of her.

In the morning, I opened my eyes to this.

I just lay there watching the dawn roll over the bay.

Colors deepened, but the sun never made an appearance.
