One Year on the Road

Two women, their golden retriever, and an orphaned kitten hit the road in an RV for one year of "pretirement"

After a hellish drive through New York City, It was a quick overnight in some very quaint Amish countryside.

We got to Manhattan right at 5:00.

We crept for hours to get over the George Washington Bridge.

In New Jersey, a hot air balloon.

In Pennsylvania, an Amish man was getting gas at a station.

We passed a few buggies on the road.

The Pennsylvania Dutch RV Park.

It was a very cute park.

A nice store and restaurant.

Well-kept miniature golf.

We got a huge free breakfast for staying in the parking lot for the night.

We left Bessie and fur kids at the park and drove around the countryside for a bit.

It was such a quaint area, with beautiful farms.

Cows on a hill.

Clothes on a line.

A fire station.

Both a bell and a siren.

Some great architecture in the villages.

Love the Gothic style.

A bank.

A tavern.

You just don't see stone houses like this in Oregon.

Back at the RV, neighbors meet Gypsy.

She got a little walk before we left.

Then it back snoozing in the plastic tub for a long ride.
