Four nights in three places in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Little Girl's Point is a remote county park.

We got a nice private site overlooking Lake Superior.

Our view.

The park itself is really nice.

Sweet stone shed and merry-go-round.

Love the stonework.

It was a short walk to the beach.

Kate throws the ball for Bailey.

Bailey was so happy to swim.

It was so clear.

The water felt so good.

Just a few others down the beach.

This was Gypsy's first time at a beach.

Kate and her baby.

Gypsy explores the rocks.

Bailey thinks we're crazy to have her out here.

She stayed pretty close.

And after a while, she took a nap.

The only waves from from these water skiers.

We watched them go back and forth.

The kayakers were so much calmer.

Ripples from the boat.

Bailey snagged some bark with her ball.

So many beautiful rocks.

Bailey loved to roll in them. Kate loved to search through them.

She found lots of keepers.

It's begun: cat paws on the laptop.

It was lots of small roads to get to the next spot.

We passed a cool old schoolhouse.

And this odd cabin: Camp Duck Your Head.

There was a nice river and beach there.

The next day was "Fun Daze" at the park.

Live music, craft booths and concessions.

We got some pizza.

Bailey wanted to try Gypsy's bottle.

Bailey's not in love yet, but she's so tolerant.

We didn't have much to do that day.

But chill...

...and take cute pictures.

So here are a few...

Our site at Cedarville was not much more than a parking lot...

...but we were right on Lake Huron.

There was a tiny little beach.

We hung out on the dock a bit.

Watching for fish.

Kate and her pal.

Teaching Gypsy to mug.

If we'd had one of the lakeside sites, it would have been lovely.

But we were only there overnight.

Just enough time to watch the geese...

...and see the sun glow low.

I made French toast in the morning.

It was so hot, I just had to go in.

It was cold!!

I just sat in the water and looked for rocks.
