At the Gateway to Cape Code campground, we witnessed a cranberry harvest and an elaborate Halloween party.

The campground was fairly quiet the first time we stayed there.

There were a few Halloween decorations up.

The cranberry bog before harvesting.

When we came back, they had flooded the bog for harvest.

Two men driving "egg beaters" were working the bog.

They churned up the water to release the berries.

The berries floated to the top.

It was a beautiful sight.

And so interesting to watch.

They used long poles to mark where they had been.

Sometimes they stopped to get out and check.

We were tempted to bring down a collander!

The resort was in the midst of a Halloween costume contest.

There was a clown to entertain.

Most of the RVs were all decked out.

Some were so elaborate.

This one won first prize.

At 4:00, the trick-or-treating began.
